Hi! I’m Leslie, long arm quilting extraordinaire.

I live in Mesa, Arizona with my husband, Jim, and our two goldendoodles, River and Bentley. My quilting journey began in 1995 and I absolutely fell in love with the craft. Now, with Polly at my side (my Gammill Statler longarm machine) I am happy to offer exceptional long arm quilting services.

My mission is help fellow quilters create beautiful pieces which will last for generations.

In addition, I participate in Nimble Thimbles, a chapter of the Arizona Quilters Guild where I volunteer my long arm quilting services to complete quilts which are then donated to nonprofit organizations.

I’m rather fond of quilting - can you tell? And if you are too, I’d love to start up a conversation!

The Serendipity Story

  • My quilting journey began in 1995, when I got my first sewing machine and fell in love with the craft. I love how each quilt feels so intimate and personal, like a hug made of fabric and stitches. Above is a baby quilt that I finished hand-stitching the night before my daughter was born.

  • Raising a family kept me busy, and I was pulled away from quilting for a while. That is, until 2020 when I dug a partially finished quilt top out of the closet, which I had started 23 years earlier, but never finished. Feeling inspired, I completed it and rekindled my passion and excitement for quilting.

  • Now, I’m excited to say that my passion has evolved even further when Polly, my longarm quilting machine, found her way into my home. I love that through Serendipity Stitching I can assist other quilters in their own quilted creations!
